The five-minute demo

The format is "more than a conventional talk": members show projects and pair on demos. Five minutes, five beats, one terminal, one browser tab.

Tonight's talk: the scripted version that plays on a clock →

timeline
  title Five beats, 300 seconds
  0 s : The claim. Autonomy needs a mandate and a memory.
  30 s : Terminal. Ruflo's default says yes to email.send.
90 s : Browser. The vault page. Ask the ABP. Same 11 actions, default vs mandate. Ledger valid.
180 s : Memory. Two roles wrote, a fresh clone restored. sgit history log.
240 s : RVM table. Rights compiled from the mandate. The ask.
  1. 0:00 · The claim (30 s)

"rUv's stack lets agents go to town: swarms, consensus, self-learning. Autonomy needs two more things to be trusted: a written mandate per agent, and memory with history the host can't read. Tonight both run inside his tools."

  2. 0:30 · Terminal (60 s)

    npx ruflo policy evaluate '{"identity":{"id":"coder-1","type":"agent"},"action":{"type":"email.send"}}'

→ allowed, legacy-default-allow. "That's the default today. Nobody wrote down that the coder may not send email, so it may."

  3. 1:30 · Browser: the vault page (90 s)

Open the app (served from the vault). Type can the coder send email? The answer card: no, barrier "policy deny + no mail credential", owner Dinis Cruz, valid until 31 Oct. Scroll: the same 11 actions, Ruflo default on the left, with the ABP on the right: email denied, pastebin denied, tester's edit denied, researcher's credential read denied, push and deploy need approval: 6 of 11 stopped, ledger valid, 11 receipts. "Your engine enforces it. The ABP is the mandate it enforces."

  4. 3:00 · Memory (60 s)

Show the POC2 history table: coder learned, tester learned, a fresh runner restored both. "RuVector's own README lists no encryption at rest and no versioning. This is that layer: encrypted on the client, branch per agent, merged, cloned anywhere."

  5. 4:00 · RVM table and the ask (60 s)

Show the rights per role and the withheld list. "Tokens compiled from the mandate, with the why kept." Then: "Pick one: Ruflo policy profiles generated from ABPs, or vault-backed memory for RuVector. We build it together and show it back here."

If something breaks

No network

The app works offline after the first load; open it before the slot. The POC pages render from files in the site.

npx is slow

Run the terminal command once beforehand so the package is cached, or show evidence/ruflo-policy-legacy.json.

Questions about rUv's projects

Say "per its README" and point at the link. Star counts are snapshots. The gaps we cite are in RuVector's and Ruflo's own words.

"Did you fake the policy admin?"

No. Ruflo's CLI needs an interactive terminal for policy admin; POC1 uses the library engine, which is its documented programmatic surface. POC6 is the interactive version, as a runbook.

The five slides, if slides are wanted

  1. Who: sgit (git for encrypted vaults) and RiskMandate (Agent Behaviour Policies). One line each.
  2. Two halves: autonomy (Agentics, Ruflo) and determinism plus memory (ABPs, sgit). Same goal.
  3. The synergy table (seven rows): home page.
  4. One live thing: the vault page, or the Licence to Operate / Risk Mandate demo vault.
  5. The ask: pick one POC to build together; a talk or write-up at a future Agentics London meetup.
